We believe in creative thinking and collaboration to help build a better mobility experience for everyone, improving people''s ability to move - whether for work or play.What we do: Supernal is looking for a Sr. Systems Integration Engineer as a part of the overall assembly and integration product team. This role reports directly to the Aircraft Systems Integration Lead and will be responsible in ensuring there is proper collaboration across all engineering functional groups. The role will be responsible for aiding in the creation of a multitude of standardized processes and procedures, while collaborating with the design teams throughout the design phases. You will facilitate trade studies during conceptual and preliminary design efforts to meet the program''s performance, weight, cost, and schedule requirements. Additionally, you will ensure all aircraft sub-system requirements are properly met and packaged efficiently within the airframe structure. This will include the building of prototype and flight test aircraft and transition to production flight vehicles.What you can do:Collaborate with various engineering subject areas to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraftZonal management of the digital mock-up for a large section of the aircraftControl space allocation for all subsystemsAid in managing routing envelopes for all subsystemsEnsure all subsystems are accessible and maintainableAid in managing interface requirements models (IRMs) for their zoneAid in managing the top aircraft assembly part number and BOM structureHold regular design fly through meetings resolving disconnects and maturing the design through CDRAid in managing master geometry models for the respective zoneEnsure all system separation requirements are upheldWork closely with manufacturing engineering to ensure the aircraft zone is designed for manufacturingWhat you can contribute:Bachelor''s Degree in Engineering or related field5-8 years'' experience in systems or structural design engineering (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)Excellent interpersonal communication skillsExcellent project management skillsExperience working on type certification of an aircraftPrior experience with EWIS or Environmental control systemsShop floor liaison engineering experienceYou may also be able to contribute:CAD and BOM experience preferredMS or PhD desiredAny offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background check.
