Our producers play a vital role in helping us to attract new clients.To support our agency and our clients, you will lead in the following functions:

  • Own and manage the client business development life cycle process including client acquisition, development, and retention
  • Provide strategic training, guidance, and support to our clients and Account Managers
  • Build and sustain great relationships with our insurance carrier and advisory partners
  • Build and sustain great relationships with clients to help support them in their businessStandards of Performance
    • Actively support and incorporate company mission and core values into daily activities
    • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude with colleagues
    • Work as a team member to achieve departmental and overall company goals
    • Demonstrate positive customer service skills, internally and externally, with effective communication, respect and integrity
    • Provides expert guidance, strategy, and best practices to clients with regards to risk management and insurance.
    • Travel to clients work locations to help support clients on site with their business affairs.
    • Demonstrate leadership skills and continually lead by example
    • Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of the positionSkills and Abilities
      • Ability to identify exposures, obtain underwriting information and provide expert recommendations about appropriate insurance coverages for client.
      • Timely response to client, underwriter and internal department requests.
      • Analyze exposures for new and renewal clients to help ensure clients have the insurance they need to meet their goals and comply with legal requirements
      • Support and assist in the preparation of comprehensive submissions for marketing.
      • Coordinate customer service with Account Managers
      • Ability to maintain professional relationships with customers, clients, and co-workers.
      • Ability to adapt to change
      • Ability to work in and contribute to culture of teamwork and cooperation.
      • Treat people with respect.

      • Drive top line revenue and supports efforts to drive bottom line results for the agency through focused sales activity and new channel development
      • Align prospective clients with our support teams to help facilitate great experiences for our teams and our clients
      • Strong analytical, negotiating, organizational, and decision-marking skills
      • Effective time management skills
      • Developing trusted advisor relationships with client contacts through effective communication and proactive sharing of A&M intellectual capital, relative industry trends, and events
      • Setting strategic direction within A&M and creating demand for new services in the marketplace including presentations at industry seminars and conferences when needed
      • Developing and maintaining a broad understanding of health and welfare plans with a working knowledge of benefits and A&M consulting solutions offered to clients
      • Understanding the current and ongoing health and welfare consulting landscape, A&M's competitors, as well as understanding what differentiates A&M from others in the industryEducation and Experience Requirements
        • Minimum 5-10 years of experience with insurance agency and / or carrier handling commercial accounts.
        • Minimum High School Diploma. Bachelor's Degree in Business management, Human Resources management, Financial management, or other related field is preferred.
        • 5+ years' experience in an employee benefits related vendor management role
        • Experience in wellness programs - preferred
        • Experience in short and long-term disability benefits - preferred
        • Experience with large scale project management, including implementations of new benefit vendors/plans - required
        • Experience with High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP), HSAs and FSAs - desired
        • Licensed Health Benefits Broker
