The Medical Staff/CME Coordinator is responsible for providing the support necessary to maintain the efficient operation of the Medical Staff Office and CME Program. Major responsibilities include processing of initial Medical Staff applications; oversight of accredited CME Program; preparation of agendas, minutes and follow-up for Medical Staff meetings; oversight of the proctoring process; maintenance of data base and current credentials; processing temporary privileges. The Medical Staff/CME Coordinator also maintains the meeting room schedule for the facility interacting with Food Services, Information Systems, and Facility Services to coordinate set-up for meetings and events. This position reports to the Director of Medical Staff Services.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of JCAHO Standards and Title XXII. Possess independent decision making/problem solving skills. Possess excellent spelling and grammar skills. Ability to compose letters/memorandums/documents. Possess effective communication skills. Possess planning skills in order to prioritize responsibilities and perform tasks within specified time frames. Knowledge of basic computer applications and word processing. Maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
