Do:Essential Functions You Will Be Responsible For:
- Direct the activities of scientists in the discovery and
optimization of therapeutic antibodies in the field of inflammation
and autoimmune disease.
- Demonstrate success and major contributions to research
programs that have transitioned milestones into clinical
development.
- Provide guidance and strategic oversight for mechanism of
action studies to support all programs across Anaptys'
portfolio.
- Provide guidance and strategic oversight of comparative
pharmacology experiments in normal and diseased patient
samples.
- Provide guidance and strategic oversight to molecular biology
work.
- Develop and coordinate strategies to ensure effective
achievement of project and company goals.
- Provide immunology support to multidisciplinary project teams
and participate in strategies for generating clinical
candidates.
- Initiate projects and/or lead therapeutic antibody discovery
project teams.
- Ensure scientific excellence within cell biology and across
research programs.
- Regularly review and interpret research data, monitoring and
evaluating scientific progress.
- Maintain broad scientific and technical knowledge within
disciplines relevant to Anaptys' portfolio.
- Present research findings and conclusions clearly and
effectively to senior management and scientific advisory
panels.Supervisory Responsibilities You Will Have:Hire, lead, and
develop a team of 12 - 18.Here's What You Will Bring to
Anaptys:Education & Experience:
- PhD plus 12 years post-doctoral experience in Immunology, Cell
Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- 8 years productive experience in the biotechnology or
pharmaceutical industry in biologics drug discovery.
- Demonstrated success in project leadership and experimental
design.
- At least five years' experience managing and leading a group of
biologists.
- Strong scientific publication and external presentation
record.
- Experience working on a project that has transitioned into
clinical development successfully.Knowledge and Competencies:
- Strong working knowledge of cellular immunology and molecular
biology.
- Demonstrated success in drug discovery project leadership.
- Knowledgeable in flow cytometry approaches.What's Included in

time.The salary range for this position is $280,301 - $360,887 with
a 30% bonus target. Anaptys considers various factors when
determining base compensation, including experience and
