Summary/Objective: This is a superb opportunity to assist the Arlon
engineering team in defining further improvements in Capacity,
Productivity, and Safety of our manufacturing process. We are a
world class manufacturing facility based in Placentia, CA servicing
a global customer base. This internship will allow exposure to a
global business and an extremely busy 24/7, 3 shift Operation. You
will learn a vast amount and get to work in a great work
environment with a dedicated group of experts. .
- Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of new
- Develop and validate process improvements to deliver enhanced
yield, capability, and throughput
- Write and revise manufacturing and maintenance
- Assist with implementing new procedures on process equipment,
and safety advancement. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a part-time position, 15-30 hours per week is
- Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m (to be set
based on total hours).
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job
duties demand.Skills and Experience:
- Must be age 18 or older.
- Must embody the Arlon core values of Teamwork, Excellence,
Accountability, Integrity and Inspiration on a daily basis.
- Must be undergoing or have completed an Electrical or
Mechanical Engineering accredited program, academic course of study
must be related to the intern position.
- Electrical knowledge a plus.
- ACAD or drafting experience a plus.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the
position.Language Skills: Excellent communication skills required.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and
in written, with all levels of organization and external suppliers
