Job Description Job Description Description As a Senior
Manufacturing Engineer at Impulse (PCB and PCBA), you will provide
deep technical expertise on PCB and PCBA technology for
spaceflight. Your expertise will directly impact the reliability
and performance of vehicles we send into orbit and beyond. Leveling
will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Develop,
qualify and optimize manufacturing processes for PCBAs. Collaborate
with design engineers to ensure manufacturability, drawing review
and DFM/DFA of PCBs and PCBAs. Provide day-to-day support to PCBA
technicians on the production floor. Troubleshoot production
issues, identify root causes, and drive implementation of
corrective actions for non-conformances. Optimize production rate,
yield and cost of PCBA production. Write specifications for, and
lead qualification of, both PCB and PCBA vendors for flight and
non-flight applications. Ensure timely delivery of PCBAs to
box-level assembly. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging
technologies, and best practices in PCB and PCBA manufacturing to
drive innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on
quality and long-term reliability. Support environmental and
functional testing in production (TVAC, thermal cycling). Minimum
Qualifications Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field 5
years of demonstrated manufacturing experience with PCBs and PCBAs
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in
PCB and PCBA manufacturing. Experience with qualifying vendors for
both PCB fabrication and PCBA assembly. Experience with SMT board
assembly, including experience designing jigs and fixtures for SMT
processes. Preferred Skills and Experience MS/PhD in Electrical
Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or
related field. Experience with PCB and PCBA manufacturing for space
applications. Experience with PCB fabrication processes, such via
drilling, plating, pre-preg/core lamination, solder mask, ENIG
processes. Experience automated optical inspection (AIO), and
X-ray/CT inspection of PCBAs Additional Information: Compensation
bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with
market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a
case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills,
education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
