Job Description Job Description Salary: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour DMS Instructor Lab Pay:$32.00 - $36.00 per hour Job description: Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Instructor Part Time NationalPolytechnic College - Campus in Lakewood CA Job details Qualifications Work authorization (Required) ARDMS/ARRT (a plus) Completion of Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) certification - Required Bachelor's (Preferred) Teaching: 1 year (Preferred) Full Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation & delivery of an approved curriculum based on institutional coursework, lesson plans, and syllabi. Regularly monitor student attendance and academic progress. Maintain communication with all students who are deemed academically at-risk Work with students to address any issues that may impede their academic progress. Respond to student retention and classroom management issues. Promote a positive academic learning environment with professional appearance and attitude. Cultivate cooperative learning by maintaining academic standards. JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Degree or greater in the health sciences field a plus Completion of Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) certification Required no exception Current active registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in any specialty Three (3) year min professional & practical experience working as an Ultrasound Technician/Medical Diagnostic Sonographer. Must be able to demonstrate a command of theory and practice, contemporary knowledge, and continuing study in their field. Technical expertise in all of the subjects in which the Faculty member will be teaching. Knowledge and understanding of the professional career paths and demands of the field. Ability to inspire students to the highest level of achievement. Motivation and enthusiasm for teaching and having sensitivity to student needs and interests. Passion for helping students to attain their career goals. Integrity and cleanliness of ultra sound lab a must Schedule: May be required for AM class 8:00AM to 12:00PM and/or PM class 5:30PM to 9:30PM Schedule: 4 hour shift Monday to Friday Job Type: Part-time Medical Specialty: Ob/Gyn Schedule: Evening shift Monday to Friday
