Job Description:

The HR Business Manager is a trusted advisor and Human Resources expert ensuring alignment, inclusion, collaboration and effective communication. Drives efficiencies with metric-driven continuous improvement, and solicits involvement to help drive an improvement minded culture. The HR Manager will implement HR strategies, processes, policies, systems and metrics that contribute to the overall success of the business. Responsibilities include partnering with management on; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining; conflict resolution; team building; coaching; addressing concerns and resolving challenges; documentation; and setting an example of superior leadership, attitude and performance. Essential Functions

  • Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations.
  • Leads employee advocacy through positive employee interactions and engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborates with leadership in problem solving, in pursuit of corporate and team goals.
  • Ensures a superior Candidate Experience is in place.
  • Researches, manages, and resolves Employee Relations concerns.
  • Primary contact for employees regarding HR concerns.
  • Conducts benefit, compensation, employment law & business procedures oversight and management.
  • Represents the company regarding labor matters.
  • Consults/advises regarding people solutions

    • Operates as a trusted business partner providing both strategic and tactical advice and counsel and coaching.
    • Act as the primary point of contact to management and employees for all HR functions.
    • Drives operational excellence in HR initiatives, processes and practices for the company.
    • Executes against major initiatives that will require project management and functional expertise in all HR areas.
    • Provides focused solutions across all HR disciplines including talent acquisition, learning and development, benefits and total rewards.
    • Develops and/or leverages outside networks to research and evaluate HR and business market trends. Communications/Employee Relations
      • Leads employee advocacy through positive employee interactions and engagement initiatives.
      • Manage employee surveys and feedback channels effectively and measure the outcomes.
      • Manage culture and Core Values message throughout the complete HR cycle.
      • Drive and deliver people related HR processes and initiatives that enhance capability, employee productivity and corporate culture.
      • Facilitate organization change as required by the business and provide transformational leadership. Compliance
        • Manage all compliance requirements.
        • Ensure effective management of visa/immigration issues.
        • File and coordinate Workers Compensation claims.
        • Manage all HR vendor invoices, approve monthly for payment.
        • Serve as the COBRA administrator for the company.
        • Manage any garnishments and subpoena requests in a timely manner. Talent Acquisition
          • Manage and develop the candidate experience from recruitment through on-boarding completion.
          • Participates in the development and execution of new hire orientation programs and procedures for new employees.Systems/Data
            • Ensure optimization of the HRIS platform providing key HR data for workforce management. Analyse multiple data sources to seek opportunities for business improvement.
            • Provide reporting and data analysis on all key HR activity as required including surveys. Total Reward
              • Manage Open Enrollment annually.
              • Support the Compensation Committee on Total Reward initiatives/analysis.
              • Ensure provision of employee data to Finance for weekly payroll processing and manage employee inquires. HR Operations
                • Contributes to continuous HR improvement initiatives to further streamline existing processes and tools to support the HR and Business Operations.
                • Leads HR audits to ensure compliance.
                • Manage the annual HR budget for your region.
                • Liaise with internal and external legal counsel as needed on all employment related matters. Talent Management
                  • Support the talent management process to ensure effective assessment and development of talent.
                  • Manage the L&D strategy for your region including mandated employee training.Supervisory Responsibilities:
                    • Manage and develop the HR Administrator. Person Description:Education, Skills and Experience
                      • BA degree with a major in Human Resources or equivalent is required.
                      • HR certification preferred.
                      • 5+ years of HR Manager experience including employee relations, recruiting and benefits administration in a manufacturing environment is required.
                      • Bi-Lingual - English/Spanish is preferred.
                      • Very strong computer proficiency - Excel, Power Point, Word and HRIS/ATS
                      • Strong social media experience for recruitment purposes is required. Profile
