Job Description:
Our established and growing client located nearby Tustin/Irvine
is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee the daily operational
domestic payroll functions as well as supervise, train, and guide
staff. The Payroll Manager will play a vital role in the continuous
improvement and development of the payroll function and provide
support to departmental management. For this role, the Payroll
Manager will report to the Payroll Director and be responsible for,
but not limited to, the following: Oversee the daily payroll
processing operations for the US while managing, developing, and
training staff Manage and ensure the accurate processing of payroll
updates such as salary/wage changes, new hires, and employee
terminations Prepare payroll reports on a
weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly basis and analyze for accuracy and
reasonableness Ensure payroll compliance with federal/state/local
laws and regulations Develop staff through guidance and information
sharing/distribution on latest payroll laws Address and resolve
internal management inquiries related to payroll Assist in the
implementation of best practices as well as participate in the
implementation of new payroll software Lead and/or participate in
organizational goals and departmental projects and initiatives that
drive process improvement within the payroll function The qualified
Payroll Manager must possess the following: Strong multi-state
payroll processing experience Large company payroll experience
Detail-oriented and analytical mindset Collaborative team approach
and open door management style Ability to perform well as
independent contributor but willing to assist team in any matter
Previous managerial experience of a payroll team/department This
Payroll Manager opportunity will operate in a 100% IN-OFFICE work
